Goloritzè, the natural monument of Sardinia , a paradise for active tourism
Cala Goloritzè is a beautiful cove in the Gulf of Orosei that was declared a natural monument of Sardinia by Regional Decree. It is known for the magnificent limestone arch on the sea and the presence of the Aguglia, a limestone monolith over one hundred meters tall that guards the little bay.
The extremely transparent water reveals a sea floor 30 meters deep and the beach is formed of tiny white pebbles. A whole range of activity is possible, from hiking to climbing, from scuba diving to kayaking. It is accessible by land by a rugged but picturesque route from the plateau of Golgo in Baunei, hiking among oaks and Mediterranean scrub. If you arrive by boat you cannot come closer than 300 meters from the shore.
