Dive among the wrecks and the underwater caves of the Gulf of Orosei
The beautiful waters of the Gulf of Orosei contain many treasures that for diving enthusiasts are one of the most interesting highlights of the area. Caves with a unique flora and fauna and beautiful wrecks that have become refuges for fish.
Among the most beautiful shipwrecks of the Mediterranean is undoubtedly the KT12, a German armed freighter, torpedoed in 1943 lying on the sandy bottom at 33 meters of depth in perfect condition. You can visit both the inside and outside; it is a haven of croakers, kingfish and tuna. The prow of the KT12, detached from the rest of the ship by the torpedo, isn't frequented by divers, and this has allowed schools of fish to inhabit the prow, creating a beautiful underwater scenery. Off the coast of Cala Luna is situated the Wreck of Hake, a German cargo steamer torpedoed in 1953 and located in 30 meters of water. It is only suitable for advanced divers.
